 Key Topics Covered:
- Understanding Transition as a Process: Learn how life changes—like divorce—unfold over time and how each stage impacts decision-making, emotional capacity, and identity.
- Client Mindset, Stress, and Behavior:Â Explore how stress affects clients' ability to focus, process options, and make sound decisions. Advisors are trained to recognize common signs of emotional overwhelm and how to respond with compassion and strategy.
- Listening and Communication Skills: Learn deep listening techniques and how to adapt their communication to each client’s unique emotional state and style—critical when clients feel vulnerable or uncertain.
- Patterns of Struggle and Strength: Identify whether a client is thriving or struggling in their transition, using observable traits like focus, energy, clarity, and openness. This allows for timely, personalized interventions.
- Decision-Making in Times of Uncertainty:Â Help clients slow down, prioritize, and avoid impulsive decisions that can have long-term consequences, especially during emotionally charged moments.
- Rebuilding Identity and Direction: Help clients explore who they are becoming and what matters most to them going forward.
Outcome:
Advisors will walk away with a stronger understanding of how to serve clients experiencing divorce—not just through financial advice, but through grounded, human-centered guidance that acknowledges the emotional reality of transition.
